Doha, Qatar: Engineers Forum Qatar (EF Qatar) hosted a Sponsors’ Onboarding Ceremony and Press Meet at Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel on Sunday, October 18, ahead of its flagship event, Keralotsavam 2026, scheduled for Friday, October 23, at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC). The ceremony forms part of EF Qatar’s Silver Jubilee celebrations under the theme “Elevate EF,” marking 25 years of professional excellence, entrepreneurship and community engagement.
The programme was attended by EF Qatar’s Board of Governors, led by Chairman Er. Shoukath Ali TAJ, along with President Ashique Ahmed, sponsors, office bearers, committee members and media representatives. In his presidential address, Ashique Ahmed reflected on the organisation’s 25-year journey and expressed gratitude to its former leaders for laying a strong foundation. He also outlined the year-long “Elevate EF” initiative, which aims to strengthen professional excellence, entrepreneurship, community engagement and collaboration.
Highlighting
the attractions of Keralotsavam 2026, Ashique Ahmed announced that South Indian
film star Dhyan Sreenivasan would attend the event as Chief Guest, while Dr.
Achuth Sankar S. Nair, Vice Chairman of the Kerala State Higher Education
Council, would be the Guest of Honour. The festival will feature a Pookkalam
competition involving 19 alumni associations affiliated with EF Qatar,
culminating in a mega Pookkalam that combines their individual floral
arrangements with a larger creation by EF Qatar.
The
cultural programme will include performances by EF Qatar’s in-house talent
pool, followed by a live performance by the South Indian musical band
Gandharvaas, featuring popular singers Sreerag and Nanda. The celebrations will
conclude with a DJ performance by DJ Karthik. The festival aims to bring
together professionals, entrepreneurs, families and the wider Malayalee
community to celebrate Kerala’s cultural heritage while promoting networking
and business collaboration.
The
sponsorship campaign update was presented by Fenzeer, Joint Treasurer of EF
Qatar. During the ceremony, sponsor representatives received their sponsorship
acknowledgement documents. BYD, represented by Ms. Cynthia, is the Title
Sponsor, while Gulf Lights, represented by Managing Director Mr. Sanaulla, is
the Platinum Sponsor. Other participating sponsors include QM Controls,
represented by Er. Arun BM, Winstar, MAARC, Paradise Saloon, Global Trading, V
Decor, Rehaab, Skripturez, Vibrant, MindX and Ayatco.
The
programme commenced with a welcome address by Nideesh O C, General Secretary of
EF Qatar, and was compered by Ancy Mohan. Prasanth Matthew, from the EF
Technical Committee Associate team, delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging
the sponsors, organisers, media representatives and everyone supporting the
event. The ceremony provided a platform to recognise the sponsors’
contributions and strengthen the partnership between EF Qatar and the business
community ahead of the celebrations.
Established in 2001, Engineers Forum Qatar is associated with the Indian Business and Professionals Council (IBPC), under the aegis of the Embassy of India in Qatar. As the organisation celebrates its Silver Jubilee, Keralotsavam 2026 marks an important milestone in its continuing efforts to promote professional networking, entrepreneurship, cultural enrichment and community engagement under the theme “Elevate EF.”
